When he says breathing every three strokes don't take it  literally breath when your comfortable needing air this is more of benchmark where you should be.

Remember Swimming Good takes practice and building muscle memory, so isolate your legs and arms so you can just focus on one part of your body so your not exhausted by swimming with your legs and arms at the same time.

Its about knowing what you need to work on I have yet to see a perfect swimmer we all forget what we need to do right so keep on reminding yourselves through practice and re-learing.

Its all about the small details that add up and become second nature but first you need to build them up.

Imagine something your really good at like sighting a house or riding a bike or driving a car when you first did it, it was quite difficult but overtime with practice it becomes a reflex same with swimming.
